Sequial 20
The restaurant Sequial 20 in Sueca won the first prize in the International Paella Competition of Sueca in 2023.

L’Alter
This restaurant in Picassent is one of the most recommended when it comes to eating good rice on the outskirts of Valencia cooked over a wood fire. Even the New York Times has recommended it. Valencian paella, baked rice and seafood rice, their specialties.

Restaurant Casa El Famós
Considered the oldest tavern in Valencia, this family-run country house has been serving rice dishes since 1890. Located next to the orchard, it offers more than 15 varieties of paella and wood-fired rice dishes, from the classic chicken and rabbit to lobster or espardenyà.

Alejandro Platero
Alejandro Platero’s restaurant won the “Best Paella of the Valencian Community” award at the last International Paella Competition in Sueca.

Bon Aire
This restaurant in El Palmar has won the International Valencian Paella Competition on occasion. In 2018 it was chosen as the best paella in the world.

Mesón Molino Binhui Arroceria Restaurant
Second prize in the Sueca 2023 International Competition went to chef Binhui Jiang, who runs the kitchen of this modest bar in Valencia where paella has become his specialty.
“Before it was a neighborhood bar that offered paella menu, but due to our love for paella, we started to elaborate it with different ingredients. Now we offer a wide variety of paellas to suit the customer’s taste, especially with Asian ingredients,” explains Binhui Jiang.
