Until June 30, 2025, all users of public transport in the Valencian Community will be able to continue to enjoy a greater discount on the usual fares of transport tickets and season tickets. In Les Corts, the Conseller of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, has announced this Wednesday that the free Valencian public transport and the 50% discounts on fares will be extended, at least, until the summer.
Except for round-trip and single tickets, the 50% discount announced by the Generalitat in 2022 is now extended until January 31 in SUMA tickets, Alicante TAM zone, Castelló TRAM, TRAM d’Alacant, Metrobus and Metrovalencia.
With this measure, the Generalitat will assimilate the extension of the aid from the central government, put in place since 2022 due to the impact of the war in Ukraine and inflation on the national economy. It is the financing of a 30 % discount for urban and interurban transport in those autonomous communities and local administrations that apply an additional 20 %, until reaching a total discount of 50 %.

These will be the prices that every Valencian will pay for using the SUMA card (which integrates metro, EMT bus, MetroBus and commuter) and the Renfe commuter season ticket until next June 2025.

Following the measure announced by Martínez Mus, confirmation is awaited from the Valencia City Council to extend the EMT discounts for the same period. The municipal bus company already guaranteed in December free public transport during 2025 to those affected by the DANA through the creation of a specific season ticket.
