The new prices of public transport in Valencia as from July 1st.
In the case of the Generalitat Valenciana, it has been decided that from July 1, users under 31 years of age in the metropolitan areas of Valencia, Alicante and Castellón will benefit from this 50% reduction.
From that day on, they will pay again for using public transport after 3 years of being free of charge, although with reduced fares.
Those under 31 years of age will have the Móbilis 30 Joven travel card, which will cost 14.90 euros, compared to the 29.75 euros of the current fare without discount, plus the initial 4 euros for issuing the card.
New general rates at 40%.
For the rest of users, the state regulation and that the Consell applies with this decree establishes a general reduction of 40% in the prices of season tickets and multi-journey tickets, co-financed at 20% by the central government and another 20% by the communities.
Until now, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility financed 30% of the reductions, while local and regional entities financed the remaining 20%.
The Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana) published this Thursday all the fares that will be applied in the metropolitan area of Valencia until December 31, 2025.
This new framework of fares in the Comunitat Valenciana that will be released from July 1 will be 1.4 euros more expensive compared to the previous month, if we take as a reference the SUMA 10 pass for one zone, which currently costs 4 euros.
However, if 40% were to be applied to the current base fares, which can be consulted on Metrovalencia’s website, the reduced price would be 4.80 euros for the SUMA 10 for one zone, 7.20 euros for 2 zones, or 21 euros for the Monthly Sum for one zone as well, or 31.80 euros for 2 zones.
