The trick to get an extra month of public transport at 50% in Valencia: recharge before this date

If you use public transport in Valencia and want to save as much as possible before the fares go up on July 1, this is of interest to you: you still have time to recharge your monthly pass with a 50% discount and enjoy these conditions for another month, although the new prices come into force next week.

The decree law approved this Wednesday by the Consell reflects the validity of the previous rates, even if the new ones come into force. All passes recharged at 50% can be used until July 31, 2025. After that date, they will no longer be valid.

On the other hand, the free passes for young people integrated in the Móbilis 30 will automatically cease to be valid as of June 30, 2025.

Therefore, the key is to recharge before June 30. The current fares of the SUMA system until June 30 include 50% discounts on the base prices of the 10-trip and monthly passes.

For example, if you recharge 3 times a SUMA 10 1 zone now, you will pay 12 euros in total, 4 euros for every 10 trips. As of July 1, they would cost you 16.20 (5.40 euros per 10 trips). A saving of 4.20 euros.

The same for the monthly SUMA, which currently costs 17.50 euros until June 30. From July 1, it will cost 21 euros for 1 zone. By recharging it right on June 30, a user will be able to save 3.50 euros.

In the case of the monthly SUMA, this solution is only applicable to users whose subscription expires before June 30, 2025. Otherwise, the Metrovalencia machines will display “non-refillable fare option”.

Mòbilis30 users with a free pass until June 30, 2025 will not be able to benefit from this solution, since, as in the case of the monthly pass that has not expired, the Metrovalencia machines will display “non-refillable fare option”.
