Changes to the free transport pass for people affected by the dana arrive. The Recuperem València card of the Generalitat will no longer be requested in the city councils from April 16 and will only be processed through the website of the Metropolitan Transport Authority of Valencia, ATMV.
This was announced by the Councilor for the Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, on Thursday, April 10.
So far, according to data from the Generalitat, more than 180,000 free transport cards have been distributed Recuperem València in collaboration with municipalities since the application process was opened.
Until then, all the people living in one of the 31 municipalities affected by the floods caused by the dana in Valencia will be able to apply for the free transport card “Recuperem València”.
This initiative of the Generalitat Valenciana allows those affected to travel free of charge on Metrovalencia, Cercanías, EMT, Metrobus and regional buses until December 31, 2025.
To obtain the card, citizens residing in any of the 31 municipalities most affected by the floods must go in person to their town hall until April 16. With the census or document that accredits it, they must prove that their residence in the locality is prior to October 29, 2024.

Pass for people who lost their car
The Generalitat has also created a formula for residents in less affected municipalities who have lost a vehicle. These people must apply online through the official portal Autoritat de Transport Metropolità de València (ATMV).
The mechanism is aimed at municipalities whose percentage of vehicles damaged during the floods is less than 5% of the municipal fleet.
These localities are: Montroy, Turís, Alginet, Torrent, Calles, Silla, Alfarb, Buñol, Polinyà de Xúquer, Carlet, Tous, Picassent, Caudete de las Fuentes, València, Villamarxant, Requena, Alzira, Real, Alborache, Siete Aguas, Favara, Corbera, Alcàsser, Fuenterrobles, Chera, l’Ènova, Benifaió, Manises, Macastre, Bugarra, Rafelguaraf, Cullera, Manuel, Yátova, Albalat de la Ribera, Mislata, Camporrobles, Sinarcas, Sollana, Dos Aguas, Chulilla, Carcaixent, la Pobla Llarga, Almussafes, Senyera, Paterna, Fortaleny, Bétera, Lliria, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Castelló and Sueca.
The Generalitat will provide two free transport cards for each damaged vehicle.
To do so, it will be necessary to submit the following documentation: census or certificate of residence prior to October 29, 2024, certificate of deregistration of the damaged vehicle, copy of the ID card of the vehicle owner and of another person designated to receive the card.
Once the application has been validated, the Generalitat will send the card to the beneficiary’s address.
