From next July 1, 2025, will enter into force the new EMT Valencia public transport subsidized fares, which will now have a 40% discount on the general fare, and 50% for young people under 31 years.
Until December 31 of this year, these discounts, financed by the Valencia City Council and the Ministry of Transport, will reflect an increase in fares prior to June 30, 2025.
This is how the EMT Valencia prices will be from July 1st.
With the reduction from 50% to 40% of the price bonus for transport tickets, these are the new fares.
- Normal bus pass (not personalized): from 4.25 € to 5.10 € (40% discount).
- Personalized bus pass (BP General): increases from €3.40 to €4.10.
- Special BP bus pass: increases from 2,15 € to 2,55 €.
- EMT Jove (-30 years old): maintains its price of 12.50 € (50% of the general fare), with unlimited trips in the EMT network. For 2.40 euros more, you can opt for the Móbilis30 for 14.90 euros, which includes metro, bus and Cercanías.
- MovimEMT: the trip will cost €0.51 (previously €0.43), and once €21 per month is reached, the rest of the trips will be free.
For children under 14 years old, traveling on EMT will be free.
The trick: if you top up now, you can pay less in July (and August).
Although these new fares come into effect on July 1, EMT will allow you to continue using tickets purchased before that date for three months, until September 30.
This means that if you buy or recharge your bono (Bonobús, EMT Jove or MovimEMT) before June 30, you will be able to continue traveling with the old cheaper prices during some summer months, as well as with some metro tickets.
In addition, if at any time you need to update your old trips, you can do so by paying the difference at the official points of sale or with the “Recharge NFC” function of the EMT València app.
These measures are in addition to the special free pass launched in 2025 for people living in districts affected by the DANA. This pass will remain free of charge throughout the year.
