Genesis’, the light show in a church
Genesis is an audiovisual show in which through music, light and color projected on the ceilings of the Jesuit Church narrates the first seven days of the creation of our planet. The sky, the water, the animals… all have their own chapter in this show designed by PROJEKTIL, the collective of multidisciplinary artists behind this work.
Sitting on comfortable poufs, Genesis is a perfect activity to go with the family, but instead of a movie screen, the story is projected on the ceilings, walls, arches and surfaces of a spectacular building. Of course, being a church and an immersive experience, it is important that the kids are quiet so they can fully enjoy the story that Genesis tells through the projections.
Location: Jesuit Church of Valencia (C/ Padre Pedro Arrupe s/n Complejo Centro Arrupe Jesuitas Valencia).
Tickets: From 11€.
Boat ride on the Albufera
A boat ride on the Albufera can be the finishing touch to a day discovering Valencia or eating paella in El Palmar. In the boats of the Albufera you can even take baby strollers, so if you are traveling with very young children, this is a perfect plan. Even so, we recommend you to always consult with the organizers of the tours.
The boat rides depart from the pier located on the Saler road, in Catarroja or by prior reservation with other organizers in the area.

An afternoon at the beach
Valencia has some of the best beaches in Spain. In them you can find all kinds of services and many have children’s playgrounds as well. A more relaxed plan and perfect for the summer months.
The Gulliver and other playgrounds
The Gulliver is the park par excellence for children in Valencia. Jonathan Swift’s tale comes to life with this structure that recreates the giant’s body through slides, walkways and stairs. It is one of the best playgrounds in Valencia, although there are also others that we recommend.
The park’s opening hours are changeable: From October to February it is from 10:00 to 17:30 hours. During the months of April, May, June and September, the park is open from 10:00 to 20:00 hours without interruption and during the months of July and August, the opening hours are from 10:00 to 14:00 hours and from 17:30 to 21:00 hours.
📍 Turia Garden, section XII.
Old Tooth Warehouse
The house of the most famous mouse in Spain, the tooth fairy, is in Borrull Street. Here he has his store and tells his story to anyone who dares to cross the door. And there are already more than 5,000 people who have done so in a place that combines shows with entertainment for the little ones.
📍 Carrer de Borrull, 16.
Trampolines
The largest trampoline park in Spain is in Valencia, although you’ll have to travel a bit north. Urban Planet is in Sagunto and is the leader in family entertainment and trampolines. An hour of jumping costs 10 euros (as of June 2023). It has 4,300m2 of play area, so getting bored will be very difficult.
📍 VidaNova Parc Shopping Center.
Museum of the tin soldiers
L’Iber is the largest museum of toy soldiers in the world. It has 95,000 pieces spread over 15 rooms that give this space a unique atmosphere that mixes history, craftsmanship and a great fondness for these figurines. Through the soldiers we can travel through the history of Spain in events as important as the Battle of Almansa and the Napoleonic invasion. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 111 to 14 hours and from 16 to 19 hours. Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
📍 C/ dels Cavallers, 20,
Science Museum
The Museu de les Ciències has become a benchmark for interactive science and has many workshops and exhibitions. We recommend “The science of Pixar”, where through tactile and interactive experiences you can discover the Pixar world. On the third floor you will find an ideal exhibition to go with the family and learn about the planet Mars. Reservations are required for the workshops, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who must also get a ticket.
Hemisfèric
Another good plan is to enjoy a digital projection in 2D or 3D at the Hemisfèric. This unique and spectacular building designed by Santiago Calatrava that represents the human eye hides amazing audiovisual projections with a multi-projection system. It also has an ideal program for all ages.
World of Illusions Museum
Next to the well-known Calle de los Cestos and the Olympia Theater, marvel at the interactive installations and works of art that will challenge your perception of reality. You will find yourself in a world of surreal scenarios, tricks that will fool your eyes, seemingly endless tunnels and interactive experiences. Open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10.30 am to 9 pm.
Candlelight
Children have a great capacity to enjoy music, and Candlelight knows it. Therefore, the series of candlelight concerts invites you to live a unique experience with the little ones of the house (from 8 years old), enjoying a magical evening full of classical music and many other genres under the glow of thousands of LED candles.

The children’s cartoon series starring a family of dogs comes to Valencia the weekend of November 16 and 17 at the Palacio de Congresos de Valencia.
