Between the popular Pelayo street, with its famous restaurant that has a stadium inside, and the Convent of Jerusalem hides the Chinatown of Valencia. Because yes, just like in other cities like London, New York or Los Angeles, we also have a (small) Chinatown.
Although historically Valencia has had two Chinatowns, today we come to talk about the authentic Asian oasis in the middle of the city, an area near the North Station where restaurants and stores of this country abound. So grab a pen and paper, because we will discover a neighborhood that seems hidden but has much to teach..
Walk through the narrow streets near the Convent
If what you want is to live the experience of being in China from your city, we recommend that the first thing you do is street near the Convent of Jerusalem. This area hides many attractions, such as small seafood farms or marketing agencies specializing in Chinese business.
In addition, the first floor surrounding the square where the Fallas monument is usually planted is full of Asian shops such as supermarkets, hairdressers and even travel agencies.
We recommend you get lost in the area and merge with the locals to soak up the authentic essence of this small but special Chinatown.
Felisano, the streetfood mandarin
Who said that the fastfood can only be burgers and fries? At Felisano you’ll find all kinds of Chinese street food. They have very well-priced menus, ideal for a take away and eat them while strolling through the streets of the neighborhood, as the place is quite small and usually full.
We recommend the Seafood Soup and the Roi Jia Mo, a pickled vegetable pita with meat. And if you think you will fall short, you also have to try the shrimp bread.

Hiper Asia, find everything you need
Imagine you have a dinner party, or you feel like being a chef and cooking at home that great dish you ate on your trip to China, whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.
Hiper Asia is a large supermarket located just behind the North Station where, for very competitive prices, you will find all the ingredients you need. It also has an international area. What we recommend is that you go without a closed list and dare to try new things. And whenever you come back, you will always have something to discover.

Dinner with friends at Min Dou
Undoubtedly, one of the best Chinese restaurants in town is, of course, in Chinatown. It is Min Dou, a place that stands out mainly for two reasons: its round tables that allow dinners with many people, and its clientele, Chinese citizens of the same neighborhood. For us, the latter is an indisputable seal of quality.
At Min Diu you will find traditional Chinese dishes and its special rice pasta, you can not leave without trying it! In addition, the fish served in many of their dishes is fresh, making it a real treat for the palate.
