A month has passed since the DANA catastrophe in Valencia. Since then, solidarity has flourished throughout the Valencian Community. Dozens of companies, businesses, associations and volunteers have offered to provide all kinds of help to those most affected.
Below we compile some of the initiatives that are active, sorted by sector and type of help, in case you need, or know someone who needs, any of these services.
This article will be expanded as new initiatives are launched.

Aid for companies and the self-employed
The Generalitat will dedicate a budget of 100 million euros to help companies, businesses and self-employed affected by the DANA. The application for the subsidy can be made from November 28 to December 31, 2024 through the electronic headquarters.
Children’s and educational initiatives
While towns and municipalities are in the midst of reconstruction, children and adolescents also need care. For this reason, several initiatives have been launched , both at the educational and leisure level, so that all minors affected by the DANA can lead a more or less normal life.
DANA Kids
This school has been created with the aim of giving children between 3 and 11 years old a safe space to play while adults help with the reconstruction of the affected municipalities.

Teachers in action
There are many students who, due to the situation of the schools, cannot attend classes. Profes en Acción has been created with the aim of helping, completely free of charge, all students who need to continue with their educational process.
They will be organized through a web page (which is still being created) where students can access all the information and documentation in an open way. In addition, it is intended to ensure that, if they have doubts, they can contact professionals who will answer them openly in a section of the website in case other students have the same doubt.
Professional initiatives
ASELEC Electricians
The Asociación de Empresesas de Instalaciones Eléctricas, Telecomunicaciones y Energías Renovables(ASELEC) of Valencia is offering basic services to those homes that do not have electricity because of the DANA.
Right now, the association has 82 technicians who are traveling to the affected areas to provide a basic service so that neighbors can have, at the very least, lighting and some working sockets.

Telework and study spaces
Designers
The creative studio Brabantdam is offering free help to all those associations, projects, NGOs and shelters in need.
These are the services they offer:
- Infographics/visual guides on emergency and prevention protocols.
- Posters.
- Landing page for aid projects.
- Visual materials such as brochures and leaflets.
Support in the processing of aid
Ayuda 6K DANA is a platform of professionals that has been created with the aim of helping the neighbors most affected by the DANA in the processing of the aid of 6,000 euros offered by the Generalitat to repair damaged homes.

Healthcare
The MeetingDoctors application offers its free services to those affected by the DANA. Thus, those who need to consult a doctor for prescriptions, psychological or pediatric assistance can do so 24 hours a day.
Recovery of damaged photographs
The Universitat de Valencia has offered to restore all those family photographs damaged by the DANA and urges people not to throw them away, no matter how much it seems that they cannot be recovered.
Interior Designers in Action
More than 100 professionals from the world of interior design, architecture and design, along with appliance, furniture and building materials companies, have come together to help people affected by the DANA to rebuild their homes.

Som València
More than 200 artists have joined together to give solidarity concerts in 16 Spanish cities. The funds raised will go entirely to the Horta Sud Association to help those most affected.

Let’s go! It is a platform that allows contacting drivers and volunteers to travel to the affected areas to help.
Offices to facilitate the processing of aid for the DANA
Until December 16, it will be possible to request aid of 6,000 euros to the Generalitat to alleviate the consequences of the DANA in homes that have been destroyed. To facilitate its processing, some offices have been opened specifically for this aid.

Mental health and psychological help
Several health associations have offered their services of free psychological care to those affected by the DANA. At times like these, it is essential to take care of the mental health of those affected.
Here is a list and how to contact them.
- Grupo ASV and Fundación Salud y Persona. Telephone: 900 670 220 Hours: 24h.
- Psychologists without borders: Phone: 960 450 230 Hours : Monday to Sunday from 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 6pm.
- The Generalitat has made available to the families of the deceased a Psychological Assistance Unit. This unit is located in the facilities of Feria Valencia.
Physiotherapy services
The ServeiFisioDana initiative has been created on Instagram, which offers physiotherapy services to those affected by the DANA. Professionals travel to the most affected areas in order to provide service to those who need it.
