Did you know that Valencia’s Parc Central has a specific fountain for bathing? This is the fountain of the jets, the only place in the park where bathing is authorized, and which has become an alternative to the municipal swimming pools of Valencia.
Located very close to the access on Calle Filipinas and next to what will be the future municipal sports center, this area is especially popular with children during the summer months. With a dozen water jets and a flat pavement, the space allows endless play with the different intensities of the jets.
750 euros fine for bathing in other fountains.

Faced with the improper use of other aquatic areas of the park, the City Council of Valencia launched in 2023 an information campaign to remind that it is forbidden to bathe in ponds and decorative fountains.
That same year, on July 20, the council was forced to close all the fountains in the park after detecting the presence of the Cryptosporidium parasite. The contamination by this protozoan, in areas not prepared for bathing, affected several children between 2 and 9 years of age.
The municipal authorities also announced at the time possible sanctions for non-compliance with the rules: fines can reach 750 euros, which are still in force today.
