The beach seems like the only escape when summer arrives. But, as we’ve shown you on more than one occasion, the city and its surroundings also offer other alternatives for spending a day in the water. Have you thought about the pool in your neighborhood in Valencia?
Parque del Oeste and Benicalap are the two must-visit swimming pools in Valencia for enjoying the summer you deserve. Although there are many more.

The sports center, which closed in 2024 as an equestrian center, will officially reopen on Saturday, June 13, under a concession to the company
Aquaval, which also manages the Benicalap and Parque del Oeste pools. It will remain open until the end of August.
Tickets are 5.10 euros; the reduced rate for seniors and children under 16 is 2.60 euros.

It’s the crown jewel because it boasts 9,200 square meters of facilities, including an Olympic-size pool, a medium-sized pool with slides, a children’s water park, an aquasplash area , and a multi-adventure park. That’s quite something—almost a theme park right in the city.
In 2026, it opens its doors on June 6, and tickets are already on sale.
If you come, you can also enjoy the green spaces, the café, and even a climbing wall complete with a zip line. And it’s one of the few that stays open at night every Friday in July and August, featuring shows, live music, and water activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, and inflatables.

The municipal pool in Paterna is a great option, featuring a water play area and located just a few meters from the Paterna metro station. It’s open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and children under 4 get in free.
Ticket prices are €2.11 for those under 18 and €4.23 for those 18 and older.

If you’re spending the summer near the Torrent area, this pool is a great option. Open from early July through August 31, it features a play area and slides perfect for the little ones.

Opened in 1983 but recently renovated, it’s like a paradise island right in the heart of the Benicalap neighborhood. It features 29,000 square meters of facilities, including a water park, two slides, two pools, a zip line, and a multitude of recreational activities.
Plus, if you want to relax, there’s also an area with lounge chairs and umbrellas in true Ibiza style, as well as an active water zone featuring waterfalls, water jets, and a bubble bench.
In 2026, it will be open from June 6 to September 6, just like the Parque del Oeste pool.
A great option for a fun day out with family or friends.
Quart de Poblet Pool

2026 hours and opening dates to be confirmed.
It is one of the best municipal swimming pools outside the city limits of Valencia. This summer, it will open its doors starting June 1 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. (opening an hour earlier on weekends and in August). It features a large pool and a play area with aquatic animals, water jets, and a mini beach.
