The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) of Valencia has announced this Thursday the creation of three new bus lines that will connect different neighborhoods of Valencia with the city center.
These are lines 42, 65 and 96, scheduled to come into operation in mid-2028, within phase 3 of the Mobility Master Plan.
These lines, with frequencies of 10 to 12 minutes, will reinforce the network after the implementation of phase 2, expanding connectivity between areas such as Nou Benicalap, the Universitat Politècnica, Avenida del Cid and the seafront.
This is what the new EMT lines 42, 65 and 96 will look like.

Line 42: from the Universitat Politècnica to Estació del Nord
With a frequency of 12 minutes, this line will replace the current route of line 40 and will connect the university campus with the center, passing through:
- Universitat Politècnica
- Manuel Candela Av.
- Av. de Francia
- Palau de les Arts
- Institut Obrer
- Amado Granell Av.
- Av. de la Plata
- Doctor Waksman
- San Vicente Street
- Estació del Nord / Estació Sorolla
Line 65: direct connection from Nou Benicalap to the city center
As a result of a neighborhood demand, line 65 will connect every 12 minutes Ciutat de l’Artista Faller and Joan XXIII avenue with the center of Valencia, running:
- Av. Joan XXIII
- Doctor Peset Aleixandre Av. (Trànsits)
- Av. de la Constitució (downtown direction)
- Sagunt Street (return direction)
- Colón Street
- Xàtiva Street
- Barques
- Pintor Sorolla
Line 96: recovery of the old line 3
Line 96 will bring back an east-west connection that had disappeared with frequencies of 10 minutes. The route will be:
- Av. del Cid
- Sant Josep de Calassanç
- Pintor Benedito
- Plaza de España
- Gran Vía Marqués del Túria
- Port Av.
- Illes Canàries Street
These three new routes are part of phase 3 of the EMT 2025-2030 Master Plan, which will begin once the previous phase is completed, scheduled for mid-2028.
They will be added to the already announced lines 45, which will cross the whole of Valencia, and the circular lines C9 and C23, which are also part of this EMT master plan to be implemented from 2026.
