Voted one of the best restaurants in the world in 2023, El Xato has just launched its most affordable option for sampling the cuisine that has earned it another Michelin star this year.
La Naya by El Xato is the informal and accessible version of this restaurant in La Nucía. But you don’t have to travel there to try it: it is now in the Nomad hotel in Altea, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Valencian Community.
Recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026
La Naya is one of the Michelin Guide’s recommendations of the month, which describes its cuisine as “contemporary and modern,” following the guidelines of the parent company and featuring local products. But it’s much more affordable.
Its menu is a compendium of tapas and dishes that rarely exceed 20 euros, with options between 10 and 15 euros as well.
The most “exclusive” dishes on the menu are the beef tenderloin, creamy mushrooms, potato parmentier and fresh sprouts, and the seasonal fish with tender almond emulsion, pickled pumpkin and black garlic: both cost €28.
The prices at El Xato in La Nucía, however, range from 85 to 105 euros for a tasting menu.
