A large U-shaped table and the chef as the protagonist in the center. That is the proposal of Kaido Sushi Bar (c/Chile, 3), the only Japanese restaurant in Valencia with Michelin star.
Considered one of the best Japanese restaurants in Spain, its great attraction is the bar for only 10 diners per service, where the experience is personalized and each dish is prepared in full view of the customer by chef Yoshikazu Yanome.
What you will find at Kaido Sushi Bar

Kaido offers an omakase experience in a space marked by serenity and the cult of haute cuisine, especially the art of sushi.
Each day it serves a unique closed menu for only ten diners, who must arrive at the same time and share the bar. This tasting menu (currently 140 €, wine pairing apart, for 75 €) is served under the omakase format, where the chef selects each dish according to the seasonal product and the market.
The menu changes regularly, but always with local fish and seafood as a base. Lunch and dinner services start at 2:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.
Another constant is the prominence of the Edomae Sushi technique and nigiris.

The restaurant has been designed by Japanese designer Mikiya Kobayashi, who has created a minimalist, serene and exclusive atmosphere.
Diners are seated around a U-shaped bar, which favors a close and interactive experience with the chef.
Due to the exclusive nature of the space, you can only eat here by reservation. As a curiosity, we will tell you that the restaurant recommends to go without perfume so as not to interfere with the natural aromas of the food.
Kaido Sushi Bar has a Michelin Star, being currently the only Japanese restaurant with this award in the whole Valencian Community.
It has also been distinguished with 1 Sun in the Repsol Guide.
The best sushiman in Spain

Its chef is Yoshikazu Yanome, qualified by the All Japan Sushi Association with more than 10 years of experience in his native Japan and resident in Spain for 19 years. Among his achievements is having been named the best sushiman in Spain and having reached fifth place in the Sushi Challenge world contest.
In 2024, he was named goodwill ambassador for Japanese cuisine by the Japanese government.
The restaurant is part of the Tastem Group, led by Ulises Menezo and Yanome himself, recognized for his commitment to Japanese gastronomy in Valencia.
