In Valencia we are not made for the cold. Snow repels us and when it falls (rarely) there is no other topic of conversation for the whole day. A strange phenomenon because at the same time we love to go ice skating.
During these dates the city and its surroundings are full of skating rinks where we can try to emulate Javier Fernandez as if we were in the Olympic Games or simply to get started in these icy arts. If this Christmas you want to skate, take a pen and paper and write it down.
Ice rink in the Town Hall Square in Valencia.
It is open from Monday to Sunday from November 29 from 11 am to 11 pm and on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 11 am to 8 pm. It has two spaces, one large and one small, and skating will cost you 8 and 5 euros (prices to be confirmed). The sessions are 45 minutes and can be enjoyed until January 6. More info.
Ice rink CC El Saler
If you buy more than 30 euros in El Saler, you have 20 minutes to enjoy this ice rink. You can get your pass at the information points. It will remain open from December 1 until January 5 from 12 to 21:30 hours (24, 31 and 5 will open from 12 to 20 hours).
Bonaire Ice Rink
It is the only one that remains open throughout the year and you will find it in the surroundings of the CC Bonaire in Aldaia. Its official name is Fun On Ice and this Christmas it has a special schedule during the most important days. From Tuesday to Thursday it opens from 17:30 to 20:00 and costs 7 euros, on Fridays, 8 euros with the same schedule and Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school vacations it opens from 11 to 14 and 17:30 to 21:30 hours.
But it opens from December 22 to January 6 from 11am to 10pm, December 24 and 31, 2018 and January 5, 2019 from 11am to 7:30pm and December 25, 2018, January 1 and 6, 2019 from 5pm to 10pm. Sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes.
New Center ice rink
Another classic is the ice rink at the Nuevo Centro esplanade. Monday to Friday from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school vacations from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm. It will be open until January 6.
