Next May 1st will come into force the new Mòbilis30 card that will replace the cardboard tickets without personalization to validate the free youth travel card in the Comunitat Valenciana. However, this Tuesday, April 1, several users have shared on social networks their discomfort with the early expiration of the passes 30 days before.
Although it was announced that these cards would be valid until May 1, many travelers have found this April 1 that their passes had stopped working without notice.
The incident has provoked a flood of complaints on social networks, where those affected denounce the lack of communication by Metrovalencia and the Conselleria de Transportes and the impossibility of recharging their cards in machines until April 9.
Metrovalencia has published an official statement on its website in which it informs that “the free transport cardboard cards for children under 31 years old that present validation problems from April 1 can be renewed for free with the Android apps recàrrega Suma and Suma Jove“.
However, this service is only available for Android devices, which leaves iPhone users with no alternative until the automatic machines enable the recharge.
The Generalitat reminds the need to renew free youth transport cards in cardboard to use them in April.
From the Conselleria de Transportes, in statements to Europa Press, have stated that this is a renewal that must carry out some cards, as happened earlier this year with the extension of the free youth season ticket until June 2025.
They also acknowledge that the staff at the stations was forewarned of the eventual failure and thus able to guide users with problems.
Some users report that the Mòbilis30 cards are taking a long time to arrive, with delays of around a month since the application. A delay that the Conselleria also recognizes in the face of the flood of applications after the Fallas.
