After the official lighting held last Friday, the Valencia City Council has confirmed the final schedule of the ornamental lighting for this Christmas 2025 campaign.
The consistory will keep the lights on daily from the afternoon, although the switch-off times will vary significantly depending on the day of the week, extending into the early hours of the morning on weekends and holiday eves.

From today, Monday, and after the inaugural weekend, the standard weekday schedule comes into effect. According to municipal planning, the lighting will operate in the following time slots:
- Monday to Thursday: the lighting will be switched on at 18:00 hours and will remain on until 00:00 hours.
- Fridays and holiday eves: the schedule is extended until 03:00 am.
- Saturdays: special schedule starting at 18:30 hours until 03:00 am.
Saturdays “Valencian style”.

The difference in the start time on Saturdays (half an hour later than the rest of the days) responds to the new initiative of the City Council to energize the center during the weekends.
Since last November 22 and until January 5 (except for the eve of Epiphany), every Saturday at 6:30 pm there will be a fireworks display in the Town Hall Square.
This event consists of a three-minute fireworks display, synchronized with music and limited to a maximum of 49 kilos of gunpowder. This format seeks to replicate the excitement of the inaugural event on a weekly basis, as a prelude to the lighting of the lights.
The lighting, which has a budget of 1.1 million euros, has as its epicenter the 25-meter tree installed in the Town Hall Square, which this year is decorated for the first time.
The display is completed with the lighting of 45 trees in different districts and neighborhoods, more than 300 luminous arches -including the glitter designs on Calle de la Paz- and unique elements such as a comet next to the Torres de Serranos and a walkable sphere in the Plaza de Segrelles.
Agglomerations, a concern of the city council
According to Levante-EMV, the agglomerations lived this weekend in the surroundings of the square of the Town hall worry inside the consistory.
A meeting of Police and Firefighters will analyze Friday’s event and could apply an access model similar to that of Fallas, with more streets cut off in case of a possible evacuation or emergency.
