Valencia will have in the coming days a new cheese fair. The town of Chelva will celebrate this coming weekend a new edition of Quesalia, the cheese and food and wine pairing fair.
During the 9th, 10th and 11th of May 2025 the streets of the municipality will group a market where you can taste and buy different types of cheeses and wines, oil, honey and products from traditional ovens and bakeries in the area.
In parallel, Quesalia will have an extensive program of activities parallel to the market as live musical performances, guided tours, children’s workshops, toy library, tastings, training for people who want to undertake, cooking demonstrations, among others.
During that weekend, the Plaza Mayor of Chelva will become the epicenter of Valencia cheese, in an environment that is also declared of Cultural Interest.
This town of Valencia is also located in one of the most unique areas in terms of nature and landscape. Declared a Biosphere Reserve World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this demarcation of the Alto Turia includes the Valencian municipalities of Aras de los Olmos, Benagéber, Titaguas, Tuéjar and Chelva, which can be visited taking advantage of the trip to Quesalia.
Peña Cortada, a route between rocks that runs through the municipalities of Tuéjar, Chelva, Calles and Domeño, is also another of the essential visits in the area at any time of the year. As is the Ruta del Agua, one of the best hiking routes in the Valencian Community.
