The festival dedicated to the best pizzas in the country will be installed in Valencia from next Friday, September 12. “Pizza Combat” will celebrate its next edition in the port of Valencia from September 12 to 28, where pizzerias from all over the Comunitat will compete to be chosen as the favorite of the public.
After the summer break, the competition, which travels the country in search of the favorite pizza of each region, will install in the capital of the Turia a 625 square meters and 7 meters high ring where restaurants will sell their exclusive creations for this event.
Restaurants participating in Pizza Combat Valencia

The province of Valencia will have four local representatives for 17 days: the restaurants Mamma Pizza, Pizzeria Ristorante Venezia, Parada Italia and Michigan Detroit Pizza, which will join 14 others. The latter has already won the championship belt in the editions of Madrid, Alicante, Toledo and Tarragona.
In addition to the four from the province of Valencia, L’Ampadini and Che Ragazzi are competing for Alicante, and Pizzeria L’Etrusco for Castellon.
During the next 2 weeks, anyone can taste and vote for each of the 18 proposals, both Valencian and other communities, through a QR code in which you can evaluate the taste, texture, presentation and creativity of the elaborations.
The pizzeria with the highest score at the close of the event, on September 28, will win the local title and go on to the national final.
Among the proposals, there are pizzas such as truffled fried egg cream with parmesan, crispy porchetta skin, caramelized guanciale or made with San Marzano tomatoes. Gluten-free options will also be available, the festival confirmed in a statement.
Portions will be paid for on the spot at each of the booths, but admission to the event is free.
