The Valencia City Council has approved this Friday a new multi-year call for rental aid for the years 2025 and 2026, with a total budget of 5.8 million euros, and among which a novelty stands out: the maximum limit of rent and rent to be able to access these aids will be increased.
This measure, framed within the Strategic Plan of Subsidies of the consistory, will increase the limit of eligible rent to 900 euros per month in the case of complete dwellings (previously 750 euros) and up to 450 euros for rooms (previously 375 euros), to reflect the increase in rental prices in the city.
Rental subsidies for those earning up to 28,800 euros per year in Valencia.

The maximum income threshold for applicants will also be increased from 3.5 to 4 times the IPREM, with additional increases for large families and people with disabilities. That is to say, those who earn a maximum of 28,800 euros in 12 payments as a cohabitation unit, taking as a reference the IPREM of 2024 and 2023, will be able to access these aids.
One of the most significant changes in this call for applications is the incorporation of a specific criterion for people affected by the hurricane of last October 29th. These people will receive 25 additional points in the selection scale, as announced by the municipal spokesman, Juan Carlos Caballero, this Friday.
This aid, unlike the state Bono Alquiler Joven, will be granted by points and not by order of application. The additional score of 25 points for young applicants between 18 and 34 years old will also be maintained.
This call will be valid for 2 years and will cover the period between December 2024 and November 2026.
The call, final amounts and final regulatory bases of these grants will be published soon.
