Metrovalencia will recover its full service from next Monday, September 1st. After two months of renovation and improvement work on the infrastructure, the Aragó-Marítim (lines 5 and 7) and Masies-Bétera (line 1) sections, which have been closed since the end of June, will be reopened to rail traffic.
The Councilor for the Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, confirmed the date during a visit to the works at the Ayora station.
The interventions on lines 5 and 7 have consisted of the rehabilitation of more than 2.5 kilometers of tunnel and intermediate stations. As explained by the councilor, the work has been carried out mainly on the side walls, which were damaged, as part of a project with a budget of 3.6 million euros.
This section connects the Aragó, Amistat, Ayora and Marítim stations, which had been without metro service since June 27, except for the Marítim station, which has maintained its connection with streetcar lines 6 and 8.
Cut in the Line 1 between Masies and Bétera

At the same time, the works of the Ministry of Transport on the A-7 freeway forced to interrupt the railway traffic at the northern end of Line 1, between Masies and Bétera. During these two months, a special bus service was provided connecting Masies, Horta Vella and Bétera.
As of September 1, Line 1 will once again offer its complete route to the Bétera terminus.
