The new speed control radar installed on the V-30 in Valencia will begin to penalize drivers who exceed the established limits from September 1, after a month of operation in the information phase.
The measure is part of the plan of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) to reinforce road safety with the installation of 122 new control points in 2025, of which 32 have already entered into service in recent weeks in different autonomous communities. Of these, seven are fixed radars and 25 are stretch radars.
In the case of Valencia, the new section radar is located on the V-30, between kilometer points 4.650 and 8.850, one of the corridors with the highest traffic intensity in the city.
During the first month of operation, drivers who have exceeded the speed limit have received an information notice. As of September 1, infractions will be punished with the corresponding fines.
