The councilor of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, has confirmed this Monday that the services of Metrovalencia, TRAM d’Alacant, TRAM de Castelló and Metrobús will be free during the whole day of Monday, September 22, on the occasion of the Car Free Day.
Like the EMT of Valencia, the metro and streetcar in the city will operate free of charge to encourage the use of public transport in a sustained manner throughout the year.
During this day the turnstiles to access the metro and streetcar network will be open to facilitate travel. The yellow Metrobús buses will also offer the service free of charge.
This action is part of the European Mobility Week, which will be held in Valencia from September 16 to 22 with free activities, conferences and a big party in the Jardines de Viveros.
