The traditional Valencian lunch culture, the “esmorzar”, will be elevated this month to the category of festival with the celebration of Festmorzar, the first gastronomic event dedicated to this tradition from September 26 to 28 in the town of Almàssera.
The venue, located in front of the town’s metro station, will have free admission and free parking for all attendees.

Promoted by the platform “La Ruta dels Esmorzars”, the festival will bring together a selection of bars and restaurants considered temples of Valencian lunch. Among the confirmed participants are renowned establishments such as Cal Carrero, Bar Marvi, La Nueva Terraza, A To Trapo 2.0, Mesón Canela, Bar Reyton, la coquería obrador de Pepe Cotaina and Restaurante Brasería Ca Juan.
In addition to the offer of snacks and traditional dishes, the event will feature typical products of the culture of “esmorzar” as the classic Cassalla Cervero and the “cremaet” winner of the last edition of Fiescrem Xeraco, which each year recognizes the best “cremaet” in the world.
The sweet point will be provided by the cakes of Como un queso. The offer will be completed with the sweet proposals of “Como un queso VLC”.
“Festmorzar” is conceived as a family experience for all audiences. La Casa de la Mar will be in charge of the musical ambience with live performances and DJ sessions.
The festival will also have an inflatable area for children and will be “pet-friendly”, with access allowed for pets.
