We already know that Valencia is the best city in Spain to get around by bicycle and that the city’s harbor is for a few days a year, during the Ciclosferia trade fair the event is a focal point of concentration for lovers and professionals of two wheels. This time the setting for the cycling event will be different and the audience will be children and families.
Next Saturday, June 1, Valencia will commemorate “World Bike Day” with a series of activities for children in the Viveros Gardens, one of the most beautiful parks in town. The event will run from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and is designed to promote the use of bicycles in the city.
The event will be free of charge and will feature a series of workshops and activities for children of all ages. On the one hand, educational proposals will be offered around the road education circuit, a musical show called “En marxa estic”, a puppet show “Jo viatge en bus” and a storyteller “L’autobús roig d’EMT”.
The three proposals have in common the promotion of sustainable mobility and respect for the environment, thus encouraging the use of bicycles (and also the bus) among children as an alternative means of transport to the private vehicle.
