When we think of going to the opera we imagine people dressed up and in majestic spaces like the Palau de Les Arts. This sometimes makes us pull back when it comes to buying tickets to go. But it doesn’t always have to be this way. Now, the Valencia City Council has organized a series of six opera sessions outdoors in six neighborhoods of Valencia so that everyone who wants to can enjoy this art.
The opera that will be performed is “Cinderella” by Charles Perrault and it will be totally free to attend. However, there will only be seats for 500 people in each session, so you might have to enjoy it standing up if you don’t go a little early.
The cycle has been organized by the City Council together with the Palau de Les Arts with the aim of democratizing opera and opening it to the general public..
In addition, in order to enjoy the sound as if it were indoors, the sessions will take place in a stage-truck so that the audience feels as if they were really watching the opera inside an enclosure.
