There are still more than three months to go before the end of the year and the weekends are getting too short. Until 2026, there are only five holidays left for workers in Valencia to enjoy. This year, the calendar forces you to be proactive, as two of the remaining holidays fall on a Saturday.
October, the great Valencian long weekend

The month of October brings the first and best opportunity for a long getaway. Thursday, October 9, the Day of the Valencian Community, is the regional holiday par excellence. Falling on Thursday, it allows to organize a four-day long weekend asking for Friday off, ideal for a trip or simply to enjoy the events and celebrations that are organized in the community.
November without long weekends
The respite of October will not be repeated in November. November 1, All Saints’ Day, will be a Saturday, so it will not lengthen the working days off.
While other years there has been a long weekend to celebrate it, this year all plans should be condensed around this holiday and Halloween, which is just the day before.
December, full of holidays

The month that accumulates the most holidays is December, becoming the only one with a guaranteed three-day weekend. This break in the working day will be from Saturday 6 to Monday 8. Constitution Day (December 6) cannot be taken advantage of as it falls on a Saturday, but Immaculate Conception Day (December 8) falls on a Monday.
This small respite will be a precedent for the Christmas vacations and a perfect occasion to soak up the Christmas spirit, as the city will already be decorated and all the shop windows will be ready to offer their best gifts.
Finally, the last holiday will be December 25, which celebrates the Nativity of the Lord and will be on a Thursday, opening the door to another possible four-day long weekend to bid farewell to the working year.
