Valencia will regain its direct flight connection to New York 15 years later. This was confirmed this morning by the U.S. airline United Airlines, which, to celebrate its 100th anniversary, has added 10 new routes from the “Big Apple,” including two to Spain: Ibiza and Valencia.
This new airline will connect Manises Airport with Newark Airport (New Jersey) with three flights per week starting June 2, 2027. Although the announcement was made public this morning, tickets to New York for June and July 2027 are already available for purchase on the United Airlines website.
Prices currently range from €700 to €1,000 per passenger in economy class for round-trip tickets.
This announcement has been eagerly awaited by the entire aviation and tourism sectors, but it is not a historic first, as more than a decade ago there was already a nonstop route connecting Valencia with New York four times a week. Back then, between 2009 and 2012, Delta Air Lines operated the route between the two cities, and the price ranged from €400 to €500 for a round-trip ticket.
This is the third new route announced by Manises Airport for the summer of 2026. During July and August, the Hungarian airline WizzAir announced that it was opening a new hub in Valencia and adding brand-new direct flights to Brasov, Romania’s most beautiful city, and to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
