Is there anything more Christmas-like than Christmas carols? We think not. And during these dates, apart from the markets, Christmas trees and parades, music plays a very important role in Valencian homes and streets.
Therefore, the Federació de Cors de la Comunitat Valenciana has organized a new edition of Christmas carols in Valencia next weekend.
During that day, 25 choirs and more than 500 people will sing in the center of the city to bring the magic of Christmas to every corner. Some of the songs we will be able to listen to are Silent Night or Adeste Fideles.
The performances will begin on Saturday 21 at 18h in different parts of the city, as in the Plaza de Patraix or the Parc de l’Ermita, and at 12h will do so in the markets of Algirós, Benicalap, Benimàmet, Castilla, Mossé Sorell, Nazaret, Rojas Clemente, Ruzafa, Turrefiel and Cabanyal.
The next day, on Sunday, the voices will flood five points of the historic center of the city at 18: In front of the Church of Santa Catalina, in front of the headquarters of Les Corts Valencianes, in the Metropolitan Cathedral, in the Carrer Cavallers and in the Plaza Lope de Vega. Finally, they will all join together to make a big chant in the Plaza de la Virgen.
