If you are looking for a less crowded beach this summer, but do not want to give up crystal clear waters and a large amount of fauna and flora, the Baladrar cove in Benissa is an excellent choice. This beach in Alicante has positioned itself as one of the best alternatives to the large coves of the Valencian Community.
The seabed of Baladrar is perfect for snorkeling, and it is not very deep, which makes it a suitable option to visit with children (although it is necessary to wear water shoes because the beach has stones).
Get your umbrella and chairs ready (as the beach floor is quite uncomfortable with just a towel), and explore its two distinct Zones: Baladrar and La Goleta. The first is the largest area of the cove, where most of the public is concentrated. The other Zone, much smaller, is perfect to go into the sea and snorkel without so many people around.
To access the cove, it is necessary to go down the stairs, as it is located under a cliff about 25 meters high.
As services, the Baladrar cove has its own toilets, a parking lot with about 20-25 parking spaces and a chiringuito (Olalà) which is ideal for a midday drink or a long lunch with a view over the cove from the top of the cliff.
If you come to Benissa, in addition to bathing in Baladrar cove, you will be able to walk along the benissa ecological trail the area offers an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area.
