Cercanías users in Valencia will be able to benefit from a new flat rate pass for 20 euros as of July 1st.
From next month, regular users of the Cercanías service will be able to apply for this new transport ticket, as established in the Royal Decree-Law approved last January 28, and which will allow them to travel throughout the Cercanías network in Spain with the same ticket.
This measure is part of the aid package for public transport promoted by the central government and announced last January during the extension of transport aid until June 2025.
What will the new Cercanías flat-rate travel pass be like?

Recurrent season tickets will be divided into 3 categories as of July 1, 2025. All of them will have to have a personalized Renfe&Tú card.
- General monthly season ticket: for 20 euros, any user will have unlimited access to the Cercanías service within their own and other urban areas.
- Youth Pass: young people between 15 and 26 years of age can purchase the same type of pass for only 10 euros per month.
- Free children’s season ticket: for children under 15 years of age, a free annual season ticket will be offered, also nominative, which will facilitate their access to rail transport.
In addition, conventional medium distance tickets will include discounts of 40% for the general public, 50% for young people and will be free for children under 15 years of age.
Renfe is expected to publish conditions and deadlines for the procedure in the coming weeks.
