Another year, and Nit del Foc is here—the most anticipated fireworks display of the entire Fallas festival. If you’re someone who usually comes to watch it, you’ve surely ended up with a poor view at some point because you arrived late.
Sound and visuals delayed by distance, fireworks that are only visible through building windows, streets that seem perfect but have trees blocking the view… The list goes on, but to help you out, we’ve got the ultimate guide.
Generally speaking, the fireworks display lasts about 20 minutes, and over 2,000 kilos of gunpowder are set off in the form ofrocketsand fireworks of various shapes. It happens only once a year, and since you won’t want to miss it, keep reading.
The 2026 event will follow the new schedule established in 2024: the Fallas fireworks displays and the Nit del Foc will now take place at midnight. In this case, the fireworks will go off at midnight on the night of March 18–19.
Location Map
As was the case in 2023 with the change in launch site, the new fireworks display setup will be deployed at the Ciutat de les Arts, near the Palau de les Arts.
The security perimeter will be limited to the entire area surrounding the Calatrava complex, particularly the gardens adjacent to the music center.
The pyrotechnics company in charge of the fireworks display for the Nit del Foc in 2026 is Pirotecnia Valenciana.
Best bridges and streets for viewing
Outside the security perimeter, there are several spots known for being the best. New this year is Alcalde Reig Street and the area around the Palau de les Arts and the Hemisfèric outside the security perimeter. It’s the best spot to soak up the excitement and not miss a thing.
However, there are other spots not far from the castle that will give you another chance to see it up close:
- The Reino Bridge, near the Gulliver statue: it’s one of the bridges closest to the fireworks display area.
- Plaza de Europa at the intersection with Avenida de Francia: This is the closest you can get to the launch area, near the Barceló Hotel, just outside the security perimeter.
- Paseo de la Alameda, along the riverbed, parallel to the Ciutat de les Arts.
- Avenida del Profesor López Piñero, across from the El Saler shopping center.
- Azud de Oro Bridge, between the Ágora and the Science Museum.
Things to avoid
Don’t stray too far from the fireworks display area: The farther you go, the more the fireworks will become a delayed spectacle—visuals on one side, sound on the other. It’s a shame, but if you don’t mind, the Trinidad Bridge, the Regne Bridge, or the Palau de la Música could be good options.
Don’t be late: remember that it starts at midnight, so it’s best to arrive at least 45 minutes early.
The prelude to the cremà
La Nit del Foc will give way to the cremà, which will take place this Tuesday, March 19, in Valencia starting at 8:00 p.m. across the more than 350 committees that make up the city of Valencia.
The cremà will be preceded by a spectacular parade, the Cabalgata del Fuego, which will take place starting at 7:00 p.m. between Calle de la Paz and Puerta del Mar.
