Next Tuesday, June 24, the Valencian Community will celebrate the feast of San Juan with the formula already applied in other years: “recoverable and paid” holiday.
This 2025, for those who want to enjoy the Night of San Juan, which takes place between Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th June, they will be able to take that day as a holiday under one condition: it must be agreed with the company how the hours enjoyed will be compensated.
For 2025, the labor calendar of the Valencian Community includes June 24 as a holiday, but with a special feature: it is a paid and recoverable holiday. This means that workers can be absent from work on that day, but they must return those hours at another time of the year, as agreed with the company and within the current legal framework.
This measure responds to the fact that the region has already reached for this year the ceiling of 14 non-recoverable holidays established by the regulations.
Therefore, the only way to include the day of San Juan as a holiday was through this modality that forces to recover the hours not worked.
And you, will you take it as a holiday or will you go to work?
