This 2026 we have already released the calendar of holidays in Valencia and, after the return to the routine, the look is inevitably directed towards those dates in which we can have an extra rest. Planning ahead is key to enjoy more days off while spending less vacation days.
Luckily, Valencia has an attractive calendar this year, especially in the first half of the year and in autumn. Unlike other regions, the Valencian spring is full of regional and local holidays, and October will give us an automatic long weekend without the need to spend days off.

Which days will be better to take vacations in Valencia?

Taking into account the Valencian calendar, the most strategic days to request vacations and extend breaks (the famous “macropuentes”) are the following:
- January (San Vicente Mártir): As the 22nd falls on Thursday, by requesting Friday, January 23, you will be able to enjoy a 4-day bridge right after the January slope.
- March (San José): Similar to the previous case. The 19th is Thursday; by requesting Friday, March 20, you will have 4 days to enjoy the Cremà and recover afterwards.
- April (Easter super week): This is the best time of the year in Valencia. We have holidays on Friday 3, Monday 6 and the following Monday, 13 (San Vicente Ferrer).
The master move: If you ask for vacation from April 7 to 10 (4 days), you will join Easter with San Vicente Ferrer, achieving 11 consecutive days of rest (from April 3 to 13).
- June (San Juan): The 24th falls on Wednesday. By asking for two days (Monday and Tuesday, or Thursday and Friday) you can have a 5-day break to inaugurate the summer and enjoy the bonfires.
- October (The automatic bridge): Here you don’t need to spend vacations. As Friday 9th and Monday 12th are holidays, you will have 4 consecutive days off naturally.
- December: The 8th (Inmaculada) is Tuesday. If you ask for Monday, December 7, you will have a 4-day bridge before the Christmas holidays. In addition, Christmas (25th) falls on Friday, giving us a long weekend to close the year.
