The Valencia City Council has announced the suspension of all educational activities, sports and events with large crowds for March 4 and 5 due to the emergency decreed in the city.
This decision has been taken after the meeting of the Municipal Operational Coordination Center (Cecopal) and under Level 0 established by the Generalitat Valenciana.
The measures adopted include:
- Suspension of classes at all educational levels.
- Cancellation of Fallas events, such as the mascletá.
- Closure of parks, gardens and cemeteries.
- Closure of municipal sports facilities.
- Suspension of extraordinary markets.
In addition, the Center for Attention to Social Emergencies (CAES) has been activated in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Benimaclet pavilion to assist people in vulnerable situations. It is recommended to avoid unnecessary travel and not to go near ravines or the riverbed due to the risk posed by adverse weather.
Local authorities urge citizens to keep informed through official channels and to follow safety instructions.
