Valencia is hosting the second edition of the Race for Solidarity with a new route but the same goal: to raise funds for the fight against multiple sclerosis, ADHD, and lung cancer. This year’s event is scheduled for November 8 and will take place along the Paseo de la Alameda, on the stretch between the Puente de las Flores and the Puente de Exposición.
Last Tuesday, the Municipal Sports Foundation and the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation unveiled the official T-shirt, the course, and the event categories for this year: a 5K run, a 5K walk, a 2K walk, and children’s races. The event will kick off at 9:00 a.m. with the 5K run and will conclude at 10:20 a.m. with the children’s races.
How to sign up and registration fees
Registration is open until November 5, and you can sign up on the race’s website. The fees and prices are as follows:
- 5K Run/Walk: 10 euros per person.
- 2K Walk: 5 euros.

Organizations and causes associated with the race
The spirit of this event remains the same as in the previous edition: to unite the city of Valencia around running to support three charitable causes. All proceeds will go to associations and scientific teams working in various ways to combat these conditions and help those who suffer from them.
The +16 ADHD Valencia Association works to promote the inclusion and independence of youth and adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. It offers education, counseling, and intervention programs.
The Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research Group at the La Fe Health Research Institute studies the disease using biomarkers, clinical analyses, neuroimaging, and laboratory techniques. It maintains close contact with the Valencia patient associations ACVEM and ADEMVA, which support patients and their families.
AEACaP, the Spanish Association of People Affected by Lung Cancer, defends the rights of people with this type of cancer, one of the most prevalent and with the highest mortality rate. It promotes research, advocates for equitable access to treatments, and organizes adapted sports sessions.
