The Michelin guide, in addition to giving stars also recognizes the best restaurants in Spain for their quality-price or specialty. Recently, the French guide has published a list with the best rice dishes beyond the paella which includes 4 Valencian restaurants.
El Pinar, in Alcossebre, is the first of them, directed by the chef Salva García. It has 14 kinds of rice dishes, including paella and black rice. The price of rations by letter minimum 2 persons, ranging from 18.50 to 24 euros per person.
Next on the list is Lavoe, a restaurant in Valencia created by chef Toni Boix with more than 15 varieties. Some are served daily and others are made to order. Something similar to what happens with Napicol, in Meliana, a Bib Gourmand restaurant (with a quality-price ratio below 40 euros) led by Chemo Rausell.
