A summer of “high flights” is on the horizon at Manises airport. The recent transoceanic flight that will connect Valencia with Montreal this 2025 will soon be joined by a destination desired by many travelers: Iceland.
From next May, the volcanoes of this northern European island will be just over 4 hours away from the Valencian capital.
The airline has announced for this 2025 a new route that will connect Manises with the international airport of Keflavík, 50 kilometers, about 45 minutes from Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital.
The flights will start operating on May 24 and will be available until the end of October, with two weekly frequencies on Thursdays and Sundays.
The price of the round-trip flights, at the cheapest fare, is around 275 euros.
This will be the first time that Valencia will have a direct connection with Iceland, one of the booming tourist destinations in Europe.
Iceland’s main tourist attraction is nature, with glaciers, active volcanoes, lava fields, black sand beaches and thermal baths such as the Blue Lagoon.
In addition, during the winter months it is possible to observe aurora borealis, or sometimes also wildlife such as whale watching.
