From this afternoon, the provinces of Castellón, Valencia and Alicante will be on orange and yellow alert for heavy rains, of great intensity and that can become torrential. This has been warned by the AEMET, the State Meteorological Agency, in a statement on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
Just two weeks after what has been considered the worst catastrophe of the century in the Valencian Community, another new DANA will hit the Valencian lands again. Although, according to the forecast, it will not reach more than 120mm, compared to the almost 500mm left by the last DANA in some points.
Heavy rains are expected to continue on Wednesday in much of the Comunitat and there are warnings for coastal storm in the south and north coast of Valencia and the south coast of Castellón.
The forecast from Thursday is still uncertain, said the AEMET, but it is expected that the rains begin to subside and end alerts from 12h.
From Saturday, it is likely that rainfall will lose intensity and, for now, the AEMET has urged the population to make a detailed monitoring of the weather situation in the coming days.
