Yes, we know, Valencia has it all: beautiful beaches, a great cultural offer, many emblematic buildings, restaurants of all kinds? Whoever lives, or has lived in Valencia, knows that we have a fantastic and ideal city to live, travel or spend a time of life.
Now, the readers of Condé Nast magazine in the United Kingdom have agreed with us and have considered Valencia to be the best European city for a city break.
More than 125,000 readers have participated in this year’s edition of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Reader’s Awards and have placed our city on the podium against other capitals such as Rome, Stockholm, Vienna or Berlin.
The criteria they have used to consider that Valencia had to win this award is the quality of the restaurants, the type of hotels, its history and, finally, the friendly character of the locals .
According to them, it is a city that “has transformed an old riverbed into a wonderfully bucolic urban park and opened stylish rooftop bars, innovating and renewing itself to become – according to our readers – the best city break destination in Europe this year”.
The other cities vying for the top spots with Valencia are Stockholm, in second place, and Vienna, in third.
