The V16 beacon will be mandatory on Spanish roads from January 1, 2026. The fever for this amber light has led to a proliferation on the Internet of websites selling these devices, most of them imported from large low-cost Asian platforms.
But, is it possible to buy this beacon manufactured in the Valencian Community? In Spain there are several companies that have focused their production in recent months in these geolocatable devices with direct and anonymous connection to Emergencies.
A beacon with technology from Alicante and Alcoy.

This is the case of Erum Vial, a division of the Alicante group Erum, which has centralized the production process in the province of Alicante.
The V16 beacon of this Valencian company, baptized with the name “Ledone Connected”, costs 49.95 euros on its website.
It has an electronic board with IoT technology ( Internet of Things, as smart devices are known) that is manufactured in Alicante capital, while the injection of the housings and the final assembly are carried out in its facilities in Alcoy.
This device, approved and authorized by the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), will be mandatory as of January 1, 2026.

Among the functionalities, like other beacons on the market, it is connected to the DGT 3.0 platform. Thanks to a partnership with Vodafone and the use of the Narrow Band IoT network, the device sends an anonymous signal to the Traffic cloud as soon as it is activated.
This makes it possible to alert other drivers in real time about the presence of a vehicle stopped on the road, reducing the risk of collisions, a key functionality that is intended to be introduced with this device throughout Spain to replace the traditional triangles.
As detailed by the manufacturer, the cost of the device includes a data plan with a validity of more than 15 years, with signal operability until 2041 without additional fees for the user.
Ecodesign and improved visibility

Beyond the electronics, the product design has prioritized physical visibility and sustainability. The beacon is higher than the market average, a technical decision aimed at preventing the device from being hidden by roof bars or adverse weather conditions such as snowfall.
It can be attached using magnets and adhesives. The system is complemented by its own mobile application that speeds up contact with assistance services or insurance companies.
In line with the corporate group’s circular economy policies, the Ledone Connected is manufactured using 82% recovered plastic.
