The Department of Family, Youth, and Children of the City of Valencia opened registration on Tuesday for a free language immersion program in Dublin aimed at young people born in 2008 and 2009 who live, study, or work in the city.
The program, included for the first time in the Verano Joven 2026 schedule, covers all expenses: travel, full-board accommodation with an Irish host family, English classes, excursions, and travel insurance.
The application period will remain open until June 13 at 11:00 p.m. via the municipal Youth website. Applications can now be submitted.
Two weeks in Dublin, from July 8 to 22
The program will take place from July 8 to 22 in Dublin. During those two weeks, participants will receive 15 hours of English instruction per week from specialized teachers at ISE Ireland, a center dedicated to teaching international students. Classes will be organized in small groups.
Outside the classroom, the program includes visits to sites such as Howth, Malahide, Dublin Castle, Dún Laoghaire, and the National Gallery, as well as sports and group activities designed to encourage language practice in everyday settings.
The program also includes transportation at the destination, medical assistance, and supervision by counselors throughout the experience.
Only 15 spots available; a public lottery will be held if there are more applicants
There are 15 spots available for the program. If the number of applications exceeds this number, selection will be determined by a public lottery on June 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the auditorium of Espai Jove VLC, located at 91 Campoamor Street.
