La Tahona del Abuelo has the best bread in Valencia in 2025. This artisan bakery founded in 1886 in Cabanyal has won first prize in the two categories of the 54th Traditional and Free-Format Bread Competition organized every year by the Valencia Bakers and Confectioners Guild.
La Tahona del Abuelo has reigned both in the classic elaborations and for its creativity in the free format proposals.
In the category of traditional breads, the jury awarded second prize to Horno Inma Moliner, while third place went to Horno Moreno Ponce.

In the free-format bread category, which values innovation in shapes and flavors, the second prize went to Horno Moreno Ponce and third place went to Horno Masanet.

The jury, made up of master bakers, consumer representatives and gastronomy professionals, awards the prizes after a blind tasting to assess aspects such as flavor, aroma, texture and presentation of each piece.
