Moving by public transport in Valencia and its metropolitan area will have the same cost as now and until the summer of 2026.
The Consell has approved the extension of the fare reductions until next June 30, which freezes the prices of transport tickets of regional competence (Metrovalencia, Metrobus and TRAM) in the current conditions.
Prices of the transport pass in Valencia in 2026
The Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras y Territorio has taken as a reference for these bonuses the fares in force on December 31, 2025.
The measure guarantees that the flat rate for young people under 31 years of age (Abono Joven Temporal) will continue to cost 14.90 euros per month in Valencia, with unlimited travel in all zones. Universal free travel for children up to and including 14 years of age is also maintained.
For the rest of users, the extension ensures the continuity of discounts on multi-journey tickets and season tickets, the state regulation that applies this decree establishes a 40% bonus, financed in equal parts: 20% by the central government and another 20% assumed by the autonomous communities.
In other words, as of January 1, 2026, the most popular fare option, the SUMA 10 (10-trip pass), will cost 5.40 euros for a single zone (A, B or C). For trips covering two zones (AB or BC), the price will be 7.50 euros, while the ticket for all zones (ABC) will be set at 12.60 euros.
As for recurrent users, the SUMA Monthly pass will cost 21.00 euros for one zone, 31.80 euros for two zones and 52.80 euros for the full combination of three zones.
For its part, the EMT of Valencia, the general bonobús, the most used ticket, will be priced at 5.10 euros.
Extended free of charge in areas affected by the dana
The pricing scheme for 2026 presents a significant exception for residents in municipalities affected by the dana of October 2024. For this group, transport will be completely free of charge throughout the year, until December 31, 2026.
This measure is part of the economic and social recovery strategy for the flooded areas. To date, the Generalitat has distributed 222,539 “Recuperem València” cards, which have registered nearly 19 million validations in the last year.
The approved decree includes a flexibility clause: if the General State Administration approves new aids or modifies its discounts during the validity of this extension, the regional rates may be readjusted by means of a resolution to align them with the state regulations.
