From March 27 to April 9, 2026, the Poblats Marítims district of Valencia will celebrate Semana Santa Marinera, declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest, in the neighborhoods of Cabanyal, Canyamelar, El Grau, and La Malva-rosa.
There is no other religious celebration in the city—or perhaps in the country—that combines faith, seafaring tradition, and community participation in such a unique way, with up to 31 brotherhoods, confraternities, and associations taking part.
Holy Thursday, the Holy Burial Procession on Good Friday, and the Resurrection Parade on Easter Sunday are some of the central events of this festival, which permeates places such as the beach and private homes where the religious images are carried throughout the week.
