The Mobility Service of the Valencia City Council has announced the start of the project to convert Sant Francesc de Borja and Alzira streets in the district of Extramurs into pedestrian space.
This pedestrianization, whose project will be known within two months, will be done by eliminating one of the vehicle traffic lanes in Sant Francesc de Borja street. The project will be executed by the company Soluciones Civiles y Técnicas SLL for an amount of 3,509 euros.
Once the project is drawn up, the Institut Valencià de Competitivitat Empresarial (IVACE), through funds from the European Union ERDF, will finance 60% of the budget foreseen for the works, with a total of 18,415.80 euros.
The second project that has been approved this Monday is the installation of crosswalks with traffic lights at Avinguda de Catalunya and Clariano street, in Algiròs. The project must be ready in a month before its execution and will be carried out by GECIVAL SL, for 3,811.50 euros.
