The inauguration of the Roig Arena stadium will be one of the great milestones of culture and sport this 2025. In recent weeks, this multipurpose space, which will host sports competitions and concerts, has been revealing some details such as the opening date, the schedule of confirmed concerts or which restaurants will be part of its offer.
The main unknown, the opening date, was recently revealed: it will be next September 2025 when the public will enter this stadium for the first time, with capacity for 20,000 people in 360º format and 18,600 in concerts.
With an investment of 280 million euros of private investment by the Roig family, the space will also host Valencia Basket matches, in which the maximum capacity will be 15,600 spectators.
The Roig Arena will also have a multi-purpose hall with a capacity for 1,800 people.
What concerts will Roig Arena host in 2025?
The cache of the concerts with which the cultural program of the Roig Arena will start is of a high level. Among the artists who will perform in 2025, the following stand out:
- Camilo (September 12)
- Manuel Carrasco (September 20)
- Quevedo (October 2nd)
- Joaquín Sabina (October 9 and 11)
- Mónica Naranjo (November 22)
- David Bisbal (December 6)
Two concerts have already been confirmed for 2026: one by composer Hans Zimmer on March 26 and Dani Martín ‘s “25 pts años” tour on May 8 and 9.
Other sporting events
After signing an agreement with the ACB, it is now official that the Roig Arena will host the Copa del Rey three years in a row until 2028. On the horizon there is a goal marked in red as a major milestone: to host an NBA game in Europe, for which negotiations are already underway with the North American league.
The restaurants of the Roig Arena
Little by little, the gastronomic offer of the Roig Arena is also being revealed. What is known so far is that from September the stadium will have La Mesedora, one of the best known lunch bars and restaurants in the province of Valencia and winner of the Cacau d’Or award.
The Algemesí bar will join the already confirmed Valencian hamburger chain Hundred Burgers. In addition, the management of most of the gastronomic services of the venue, including the VIP area and the main restaurant, will be in charge of Miguel Martí Gastronomía.
