“4 years ago I made a mistake”. Mexican influencer Roberto Morales, better known as RobeGrill, caused more than one shock when in 2021 he viralized his “charcoal paella” recipe on TikTok.
The rice lacked nothing: chorizo, sausage, shrimp, bay leaf, chili and ribs. This combination generated a wave of criticism and indignation both in social networks and in the media, especially among Valencians. Like so many other rice dishes with stuff.
But the story took a turn this week when, 4 years later, RobeGrill has decided to travel to Valencia to learn firsthand the authentic Valencian paella recipe.
Roberto Morales has published a video on his social networks and YouTube channel where he narrates the whole process of preparing a paella accompanied by influencers such as Lola Madre Indignada, who “tormented” him at the time with comments, cooks and local experts who reveal the secret of this recipe that carries ingredients such as rabbit, chicken and saffron.
