Rosa López and a daytime castle, novelties of the Pride 2024 opening speech in Valencia

The 2024 LGTBI+ Pride party will be divided in two: on the one hand, the events programmed by associations and groups, which will celebrate a whole month of parallel activities and will conclude with the demonstration on June 28, and on the other hand, the program of the Valencia City Council.

This 2024, the consistory’s Program will focus on several activities, such as musical performances, live shows, analysis and discussion of literary works linked to the LGTBI+ collective, or a graphic campaign in stores, buses and street furniture.

However, the most anticipated event of the municipal program will be the opening speech, which in 2024 will be given by the singer Rosa López. On Friday, June 21, at 8:30 p.m., the Pride Proclamation is scheduled to take place in Valencia’s City Hall Square.

Organized by the city council and the Generalitat, López’s speech will be followed by a daytime castle, musical performances and a festival with DJs in the center of Valencia.

With free access, this will be one of the central events of Pride 2024 in Valencia after the cancellation of the traditional party after the demonstration on June 28 due to lack of agreement between the associations of the collective and the new municipal team.
