LGTBI+ Pride in Valencia 2024: Full program of events

Valencia will take to the streets this 2024 to vindicate LGTBI+ Pride, but there will be no subsequent celebrations. Unless there is a last minute change, the associations organizing the demonstration and organizers in previous years of the after party in the center of Valencia (Lambda, Avegal and FELGTBI+) will not participate this year in any festive event, as they announced a few weeks ago in a press release joint statement.

The organizers claim “interference” from the Valencia City Council and the Generalitat Valenciana in the organization of this and other future events such as the Gay Games of 2026, as well as denounce “significant cuts in rights” in the LGTBI+ and equality policy of the consistory.

However, there will be a large demonstration in the center of Valencia scheduled for the 28th of November june in the afternoon, which will be the big act of this 2024.

Given this situation, Pride 2024 in Valencia will be reduced to a demonstration with the usual route, from Puerta del Mar to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. At the end, “a protest rally is scheduled to continue the fight for LGTBI+ rights,” the organizers emphasize in a joint statement.

“That night we will take refuge in LGTBI+ venues as we have historically done when we didn’t have the social support we have today,” the statement concludes.
